High resolution photos are needed to create the best possible photo products. Best photos are 300 dpi. Best file formats are jpeg/pdf/psd.
Keep original files at the largest possible size. Many smart phones will prompt you to select a smaller size when emailing. Avoid this and keep original size.
Images from social media posts cannot be used. They have already been formatted for online use and are low resolution.
Avoid embedding photo files in the body of an email. Rather attached the file to the email or submit using an ftp site such as wetransfer.com
Avoid cropping in closely to the subject. Leave room on all four edges.
